[FLC 23-03] Climate Change Adaptation Awareness Walk in Dong Thap Province
Co-organized by CECAD and the Dong Thap Department of Education and Training, the awareness walk engaged 150 students in spreading messages of climate adaptation and environmental responsibility across the Mekong Delta.
On the morning of January 11, 2025, in Cao Lanh City, the Center for Environment and Community Resources Development (CECAD), in collaboration with the Dong Thap Department of Education and Training, organized a Climate Change Adaptation Awareness Walk to promote understanding and public engagement on climate action.
The event gathered 150 students from Cao Lanh City High School and Do Cong Tuong High School. With great enthusiasm, the participants completed a 1.5-kilometer route for male students and a 1-kilometer route for female students, showcasing their energy, teamwork, and commitment to environmental awareness.

The event aimed to raise awareness of climate change and the impacts of salinity intrusion in the Mekong Delta while encouraging young people to learn, act, and share initiatives that contribute to community-based climate adaptation.
All participating students received certificates of completion, and several were recognized with special encouragement awards for their active efforts in promoting climate change awareness on social media platforms.
