GS. TS. Lê Diên Dực

Assoc. Prof. Le Dien Duc is Director of the Center for Environment and Community Resource Development (CECAD) since 2004. He is an academic and environmental scientist with an extensive career spanning several decades. He completed his undergraduate studies in Zoology at Hanoi University from 1958 to 1961 and later earned his Ph.D. in Ecology from Humboldt University in Germany (1968-1972). From 1961 to 2003, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Hanoi, which later became the University of Science under Vietnam National University, specializing in vertebrate zoology, biogeography, and environmental protection.
His research contributions include numerous publications on Vietnam's wetlands, bird species conservation, and sustainable environmental management. He has been a key figure in promoting Vietnam's accession to international environmental conventions such as the Ramsar Convention on wetlands and CITES for the protection of endangered species

Dr. Le received her MA in Urban and Environmental Policy at Tufts University and her PhD in Agriculture and Rural Development at the Institute of Social Studies, the Netherlands. Dr. Le has been the project manager or project coordinator of numerous research and development projects funded by a range of different donors. She has published books and numerous articles in international journals. Her work has greatly contributed to raising environmental awareness of local people and promoting biodiversity conservation and environmental protection in rural Vietnam. Together with her colleagues at the Center for Environment and Community Assets Development (CECAD) they are building on their long-term commitment to help local communities to have the biggest positive impact on nature and at the same time to ensure that sustainable farming is supporting farmers and their communities.

Ms. Dung is highly experienced in administration with a comprehensive background in office management, project coordination, and administrative support. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Language from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi National University, and has over 20 years of professional experience. She has been with CECAD since 2004, responsible for managing schedules, liaising with local authorities, supporting accounting and ensuring the efficient operation of all CECAD’s projects. Ms. Dung has supported various environmental and community development projects, such as improving forest governance and strengthening communication capacity for climate resilience. Her strong and experienced organizational skills make her an invaluable part of CECAD, always supporting the team and ensuring smooth operational processes.

Ms. Loan Dang is an experienced financial consultant with over 20 years of expertise in project management and accounting. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and professional certifications in accounting, she has been providing financial expertise across a wide range of development projects. Loan has contributed to numerous projects related to climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and economic development. She specializes in financial planning, budget management, and training on project finance, with a focus on sustainability and community development initiatives.

ThS. Võ Thị Thu

Thu earned her master's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Tsukuba in Japan in 2014. She has more than 10 years of working experience on development projects in both international and local non-government organizations in Vietnam. Thu has been involved in numerous projects focused on disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, natural resource management and community development. Her primary motivation is to assist vulnerable and marginalized communities, with the goal of enhancing their resilience against disaster risks and the impacts of climate change.

Anh Tran gained a bachelor’s degree in English Language, specializing in business English in 2016. Since then, she has worked as a project officer at the Center for Environment and Community Assets Development (CECAD). Anh has opportunity to participate in various projects in the field of community development, biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, climate change adaptation and sustainability in Vietnam. Her personal mission is to become an innovator in climate change adaptation and sustainable development, with expertise in enhancing local communities' capacity to adapt to climate risks and actively involving them in sustainability efforts.

Huyen graduated with distinction from Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University, major in Enviromental Sience. With over five years of experience in the field of environmental science, she has contributed to various projects focusing on climate change, biodiversity conservation, and livelihood development. Since 2023, Huyen worked as a Project Officer at CECAD, where she primarily concentrating on community development projects.
ThS. Nguyễn Hoàng Yến

Yen holds Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science from Hanoi University of Science – VNU. With over 5 years of working experience, she has participated in many projects in climate change adaptation, sustainable livelihood and community development. Currently, Yen works as a Project officer of CECAD, mainly in charge of connecting to local partners, conduct communication activities and research. She is also responsible for developing project documents for approval from host agencies and local authorities. Her personal target is to assist vulnerable communities to enhance their capacity in climate resilience.
Nguyễn Phương Hà

Ha Nguyen holds two Bachelor's degrees in German Linguistics from the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS) and International Economics from the University of Economics and Business (UEB), both under Vietnam National University. Ha is passionate about seeking opportunities to further her contributions to sustainable development and climate action. Since 2022, Ha has worked as a Project Officer at CECAD, dedicating in communication activities, projects and researches focusing on climate change and community development.
Phạm Thị Ánh Tuyết

Ms. Tuyet earned her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development from the National Economics University in 2020. Her career goal is to support people in disadvantaged areas by helping them develop sustainable livelihoods, increase their incomes, and promote both nature conservation and environmental protection. Tuyet has been working for CECAD since 2020, involving in projects focusing on solid waste management, ecotourism, and sustainable livelihoods. She has 2 years of experience as a field coordinator, responsible for coordinating field activities, working directly with local beneficiaries, and contributing to outreach and training programs on solid waste management, project monitoring and evaluation, and other activities.

Nguyễn Trọng Giang

Nguyen Trong Giang is part of the field staff at the Center for Environment and Community Asset Development (CECAD), the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA). Giang has studied the subject of Environment at the Vietnam National University. His work at CECAD is a chance for him to put his knowledge gained at University into practice and to improve his experiences of working with the community, especially the ethic minority poor people.

Do Trong Hiep is part of the field staff at the Center for Environment and Community Asset Development (CECAD), the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA). He loves nature and cares about the relationship between nature, environment and people. He recognizes that there is a close connection between biodiversity loss, environmental degradation and poverty. He has graduated from the Hanoi University of Science at the Vietnam National University with a specialisation in Biodiversity and is currently studying business management at the Vietnam National Economics University. By working at CECAD, he wants to learn and share his knowledge in order to help the poor in rural Vietnam improve their livelihoods. He also wants to help protect biodiversity as well as the environment.
